TV Q&A: Renewals/Cancellation

I was reading the Entertainment Weekly's "Best and Worst of 2008" while waiting to get my hair cut and they had an article about shows that have been cancelled and whether they should have been or not. Mentioned was My Own Worst Enemy, Lipstick Jungle, Private Practice, The Sarah Conner Chronicles... as well as Pushing Daisies and Eli Stone. I can't remember all that was mentioned but there was like 15.

It makes you wonder how fiscally and finacially prudent it is for networks to produce new shows only to cancel them before they can get their foot in the door.

The Sarah Conner Chronicles was canceled too? I didn't even get the chance to watch yet besides the pilot.

I also heard from 2 different sources that it's the last season for Heroes & Prison Break. Does someone know something about it ?

I have heard that Wentworth Miller doesn't want to continue in Prison Break anymore...I am not sure if they can continue without him...

FOX actually picked the show up for a full 22 episodes. It's just not airing reruns and its being moved to Friday night, backing up DOLLHOUSE.

Nothing has officially been announced in regards to either of the series at the moment.

For SCC and Private Practice,there's no mention that is cancelled. It's only the author's opinion they should be ^^

It's official, Prison Break ends after season 4:

I can't say that I'm extremely sad. Season 4 is great so far IMO but there needs to be an end now. As long as this show gets the good end it deserves,then I'm fine with it!

I'm undecided about Prison Break... I haven't watched since the end of Season Two... but I used to like it. And I feel bad for the fans who are gonna miss it.



I'm still very displeased that Pushing Daisies got cancelled... I watch every ep of that show and really like it. It better get some good ending... I love Ned/Chuck.

well,at least they wanted to change the end (or already did) so it won't have a cliffhanger. That's a good thing,right?!

Too bad though that ABC maybe won't air the remaining episodes at all

Question: What is this I hear about the remaining Pushing Daisies and Dirty Sexy Money episodes airing in the summer? Please tell me it's not true. -- Cliff
Ausiello: Actually, at this point, we'll be lucky if they air at all. Episode 11 of Daisies was originally scheduled to air tonight, but, per Bryan Fuller, the network dropped it from the schedule at the last minute. "They are not scheduled to air right now," he sighs, "and that's all we know." Let's have a round of applause for network TV!
