COUNTRY MUSIC SINGER SCOTTY MCCREERY (“AMERICAN IDOL”) PERFORMS “THE TROUBLE WITH GIRLS” / SCOTT PORTER PERFORMS “JAMBALAYA” — After a wild night of partying, Wade (Wilson Bethel) wakes up with a massive hangover, an uninvited houseguest and no memory of what happened the night before. Meanwhile, George (Scott Porter) takes an unplanned roadtrip to New Orleans, and Lemon (Jaime King) finally confesses her troubles to her father, Brick (Tim Matheson). Let's just say he comes to an important realization about Zoe while wearing said tuxedo that should make fans of the couple pretty darn happy. Alas, there are plenty of moments that'll please Zoe and George fans as well. This love triangle is so on.

WADE ASKS ZOE TO BE HIS TEAMMATE FOR THE BLUEBELL BATTLE — Wade (Wilson Bethel) signs up for the Bluebell Battle in hopes of winning the five thousand dollar prize, but when he strikes out finding someone to be his race partner, he must swallow his pride and ask Zoe (Rachel Bilson). Meanwhile, Rose (McKaley Miller) is jumping for joy when Frederick Dean (guest star Drew Koles) finally asks her out on a date, and George (Scott Porter) and Lemon (Jaime King) meet with Reverend Mayfair (guest star Peter Mackenzie) to discuss their relationship issues. We’ve seen hints of a bridge being built between Brick (Matheson) and Zoe (Rachel Bilson), and Matheson says we’ll continue to see Brick develop a soft spot for the young doc. “I think that what I’ve discovered is that there’s a part of Brick that is beginning to feel protective of Zoe, and having paternal feelings toward her, which he tries not to deal with,” he says. “It’s an interesting development for me. I think if you’re playing a villain or an antagonist, you have to step on those feelings to do the things you’re doing. But for me, those feelings are being allowed to come out. But I do like being on obstacle for her. I hope to do many, many episodes where I can be a thorn in her side.”
