I completely agree, Lara. I would love to see him branch out from that genre after Supernatural ends. I think he is very talented and would do great in a romantic comedy role.

I heard that recently he had to turn down a movie role in the new Die Hard! He was going to play Bruce Willis's son! I have to say that I was honestly a bit disappointed about this, as much as I love Supernatural and Sam Winchester, I REALLY wanted to see him do a different role. He's amazing and has earned as much!

Plus! Bruce Willis's SON!!!!

I think it's pity too, but now when things are like this, baby came little time ago. I am sure that he doesn't want to do any movies during this hiatus (believing that season 8 comes) he wants to share his time with newborn family.

Does Jared actually have a child. I know he is married but never heard about Jared starting a family.

Yes, he has a just born baby boy Thomas Colton with his wife Genevieve. Day of birth was 19 of March. So Jared has little family of his own and I am sure that he doesn't want to leave them for long time.
