SMALLVILLE Delivers Largest Audience of The Season
February 8, 2009 (Burbank, CA) – The special two-hour SMALLVILLE telecast (“Absolute Justice”) powered The CW to its best Friday night performance since September 2008 in all key categories, including adults 18-49 (1.2/4), men 18-49 (1.5/5), adults 18-34 (1.1/4), men 18-34 (1.3/5) and total viewers (2.8mil), according to preliminary live plus same day Nielsen ratings for Friday, Feb. 5, 2009.
Friday’s two-hour SMALLVILLE was the show’s highest rated telecast of the season in total viewers, adults 18-49 (tie) and men 18-49.
SMALLVILLE built in the second hour by 10% in adults 18-34, 17% in men 18-34, 18% in adults 18-49, 14% in men 18-49 and 14% in total viewers.
Competitively, Smallville ranked first on Friday night among men 18-49 and ranked second among men 18-34."

Absolute Justice, Absolute Ratings |
About Last Nights' Absolute Justice ratings. Part of the TvByTheNumbers.com report:
"The two hour Smallville “Absolute Justice” special averaged a 1.2 rating with adults 18-49. The first hour of “Absolute Justice” averaged a 1.1 with adults 18-49 and 2.6 million viewers, with the second hour averaging a 1.3 adults 18-49 rating and nearly 3 million viewers (2.94)."

- 8:00 p.m. – Viewers: 2.64 million (#5), A18-49: 1.1/ 4 (#4)
- 8:30 p.m. – Viewers: 2.56 million (#5), A18-49: 1.1/ 3 (#4t)

"I thought the Justice Society of America would be really interesting to play against the characters. I did the team from the future, so how about a team from the past? Last but not least.Matt Mitovich now brings us the interview he had with to speaking with Smallville's star Erica Durance as well about the show Clark and Lois Kisses and beds.
"I asked Brian Peterson this question, and would now like to get your take: What was more difficult, keeping the Clark-Lois romance at arm’s length or now honoring it?
I think each one was its own kind of animal. It’s always tricky, when you’ve created this kind of angst-filled relationship, to figure out a great way for them to get together. So I think it was a lot more difficult figuring out how to honor this relationship. Being so iconic, it already has such a great blueprint out there. There have been a lot of conversations back and forth."

TV Guide Talks with Erica Durance |
TVGuide.com had the opportunity as well to speaking with Smallville's star Erica Durance’s about the show.
"TVGuide.com: Annette O'Toole is returning to the show. Will Martha Kent approve of their relationship?
Durance: The one thing that Lois found is that Martha was the first person that was very accepting of Lois and could see through all of the awkward things that she would do and her defense mechanisms. So I believe that she would actually be fine with it."
